Updated 6 Jul 2024I represent a small charity with volunteer unpaid trustees. We have been trying for over a year to source insurance policies to cover both general trustee responsibilities plus cover for loss of data due to cyber related issues. Because we are small and have no paid employees, we do not fit the ‘standard’ model of large charities which seems to create problems obtaining cover for most brokers. However, along came Lauren Clarke of Gallaghers Llantrisant branch who has steered us successfully to now obtaining appropriate cover at reasonable cost thanks to several weeks of diligent and patient research on her part. We could not have done it without her. Thank you Lauren.

30 Jul 2024I once had six policies taken out through discountinsurance.com that i believe is the trading name. My final cover ended today after speaking to a very unhelpful assistant. Take your business elsewhere would be my advice as i have.

23 Jul 2024We took a contract to cover an unoccupied building for a few months for fire theft and damage.
They obfuscated the fact if we cancelled within 6 months they would still charge the full amount.
Seems like a cheap nast company out to separate you from your money as quickly as possible.

3 Aug 2024Extremely disappointed with my experience with Gallaghers motor trade insurance! They kept calling me pushing to take out the policy and made promises they couldn't deliver on! I gave them 3 vehicle registrations after a couple of week I realised one of them had not been added so I had been using a vehicle with no insurance and they hadn't let me know! So i called them to be told they couldn't insure that specific vehicle its only a vw transporter not a ferrari. They apologised for not contacting me but that's all they could do which left me with absolutely no insurance. Very poor experience!

8 Aug 2024Chloe was able to beat my previous quote by around £800 making me a massive saving. Communication was a little difficult at times (obviously a very busy lady, making savings for customers!!) - however when I did speak with Chloe all the communication was clear, concise and very informative. Great service.

15 reviews Updated 7 Aug 2024I live in a 70% shared ownership property. We the residents have been informed by the Maintenance Company that our 3 lifts are insured by Gallaghers.
Due to the rise of this insurance of 500%, we requested the policy details plus costing and have been informed that Gallaghers have classed us as 3rd party so therefore we cannot have access to this information. So the 18 residents who live and pay the full insurance policy cannot see the paperwork? On behalf of the residents I contacted Gallaghers who forwarded my message onto AJG.com, who said they don't insure our lifts, just maintain them, but our maintenance company once again said it was Gallaghers. Neither will share the policy details plus costing so the only way to receive the correct details was for us to contact the FCA and with their assistance issue ICOBS 6A.7.18R(2) 31/12/2024. I do hope that someone from GALLAGHERS can respond on here rather than passing me onto AJG.com again. Thank you

I cancelled my policy on moving home recently and was faced with unanswered phone calls, no/late responses to emails, and I'm still waiting for my refund of unused premiums (less the extortionate admin fees!) over a month later. If I could give a negative star rating, I would. Avoid this rip off company at all costs!
