You may need to take action each year to renew your health insurance or the insurance of your family members.
If you received a notice from NY State of Health letting you know that your annual renewal is due soon for your Medicaid, Child Health Plus, Essential Plan, or Qualified Health Plan coverage, you can complete your renewal in several ways. If you have not received your notice yet, learn more about what you can do to prepare.
You can complete your renewal online by logging into your account at nystateofhealth.ny.gov. When it is time for your renewal, click the “Update Application” button after logging in and follow the instructions to ensure your information is up to date.

If you already have an assistor, contact them so they can help you renew your insurance. If you don’t already have an assistor, you can find one using the assistor search tool.
